Flash Point: The Muslim Demographic in Europe

We wish to capture a link to a study referenced in Zero Hedge and done by Pew research, that reviews the Muslim demographic in Europe: Europe’s Ethnic (R)Evolution – It Will Never Be The Same Again. As a percentage of total population, France has the most Muslims at 7.5% while Germany has the largest number in absolute terms (over 4.7 million). The map pictured in the study is most helpful.

The Islamic State as the Purest Form of Islamism

Our friend AO drew our attention to an important article on the Islamic State (ISIL) in the Atlantic: What ISIS Really Wants. It is a long read – over an hour – but methodically analyses ISIL and presents it as a pure fundamental expression of the Islamic religion. It is represented as a Caliphate, based in its conquered territory.  Virtually all who are not believers of its expression of Islam are enemies to be either killed or enslaved.

It is important for Western intellectuals, politicians and academics to understand that this is a non-compromising religion. It is also important to understand that rather than being some psychopathy, it is the ultimate form of Islamic expression that must overpower every other form.

ISIL may eventually be eradicated but the nature of Islam is that another Caliphate will arise to take its place.

On a personal level we need to read  it again and carefully think about it since its roots are already planted in this country.

Flashpoint: The Meaning of Jihad

From NightWatch today we have a lovely, concise explanation of the term Jihad:

Jihad means struggle or striving. It is not a pillar of Islam, but it is a religious duty of all Muslims. It is one of the ten practices of Shia Islam. Historically, in most cases jihad refers to military struggle. Some Islamic scholars call jihad the sixth pillar. A Sunni Pakistani cab driver in the US assured NightWatch that jihad is the duty of all Muslims and it includes killing his passengers if Allah called him.

Of comparable importance to Christians would be the 10 commandments. One cannot as a Christian, pick and choose which commandments he will follow and which he would deny to accept.

One Brit Speaks Out

Although we have not written about our thoughts on the outcome of the progressive (in all senses of the word) development of Islam in Canada the outcome we have imagined is pretty much limited to the opinion of Paul Weston expressed in the following video:

Asymmetrical Warfare

The term has come into popular parlance with twentieth century invasions of foreign countries by conventional military forces being effectively neutralized and sometimes defeated by heavily outgunned guerrilla forces. The Russians failed in Afghanistan as have the US and NATO. Interventions in Iraq, Syria and Libya have created the present day chaos ruling those countries. Before that the French and then the Americans fought and lost in Vietnam. Islamic jihad is the current asymmetrical war in process and we are not winning – again.

What saves us for now is that North America is an island separated from primary conflict by wide oceans. We can project force across these oceans to other lands while our enemies in those lands cannot do the same to us directly. The policy extension of this recent asymmetry in being able to kill our enemies is encapsulated in the Predator drone. The following video captures the nature of the weapon and its use.

For us it is the ideals military weapon. We can kill people anywhere anytime whether we know who they are or not, safely from our bases in Nevada.

What our policy does not understand is a crucial nature of the cultures we attack. It is the Hydra. When we kill an innocent civilian – what we euphemize as collateral damage” – we create eternal enemies out of the person’s entire familty. When we wipe out an entire wedding party we make eternal enemies of an entire village. The fact that we do this without warning, disrespecting a county’s sovereignty in the process, we make eternal enemies of an entire country. The fact that virtually all the death and suffering that we have visited on others in the last 2 or 3 decades have been on Islamic communities has reinforced the eternal enmity that Islam has for us.

Make no mistake about it. This is a fight to the death. And we lack the passion and zeal the other side has. This results from the final asymmetry operating here. We are operating from a secular humanist and Judeo-Christian ethic of convert and save your enemy. The Islamic world is operating from a dogma of convert, enslave or kill your enemy. Our position is fundamentally weak and theirs is fundamentally strong.

The Death Knell Sounds for the Christians of Iraq

We consider this essay by Paul a very important one: The Death Knell Sounds for the Christians of Iraq. It portends our future, particularly because of our cultural denial of the threat. We present this essay reprinted by permission of Paul and from The Bayview Review. See the links at the end for direct access to the rest of Paul’s work.

A NEWS BULLETIN:

In Mosul …. Iraq’s oldest and second-largest city, Christians fled their homes after the IS [Islamic State] gave them three days to leave the caliphate’s territory. According to the IS, it issued this order after the heads of the Christian community in the city refused a summons to discuss their status and respond to the organization’s demand that they either convert to Islam, pay the jizya (poll tax), or “face the sword.” The Christians’ exodus from the city, which has 13 churches and monasteries, is said to be the first case in Iraq’s history where an entire Christian community has fled en masse. Reports also claim that the IS has burned down an ancient church in Mosul, and that its men have seized Christians’ property, sometimes with the cooperation of their Muslim neighbors. Other sources report that churches in the city have been converted to mosques. (“The Islamic State’s Treatment of Christians,”“ MEMRI (membri@memri.or, August 15, 2014.

The Sunni/Shia Divide in a Picture

We maintain that the Sunni/Shia divide is the most important sectarian conflict in geopolitics. It keeps the energy of Islam inwardly focused. If the rift is ever healed then the focus and the energy will be on the rest of the world. Click on image to enlarge in a new window.

Islamism: No Caliphate Here

When Mohammed created the religion/cult of Islam, he had no opposition in terms on theological (doctrinal), ideological, military or genealogical grounds. Nightwatch posted a short news update today (NightWatch 20140629):

The Caliphate. ISIL declared the restoration of the Caliphate, an Islamic State that includes all the territories ISIL has conquered. It called on all Muslims to pledge their allegiance. ISIL leader al-Baghdadi declared himself Caliph Ibrahim.

Comment: The Caliph is supposed to be the legitimate successor to Mohammed. There are many who would claim this title. This declaration will be challenged on theological, ideological, military and genealogical grounds.

Our emphasis is the basis for our contention that no Caliphate is possible in the near future if ever. The deep internal schism in Islam between Sunnis and Shias ensures that no single leader is likely to emerge that can unify the divided house. Military conquest of one side over the other would be a necessary first step. We believe that for all the missteps the US has made in affecting the balance of power in this onging war, they will try and prevent one side from gaining ascendancy.

This does not mean that the spread of Islam is not a threat to our Western cultures and societies. It means that the threat can more easily be contained if we manifest the political will to do so. Westerners fail to understand that once a Muslim owns territory anywhere, that territory is forever part of the future Caliphate. That includes the mosque in your neighborhood and the property of your Islamic neighbour next door.

Commentary

We asked our friend Paul Merkley to vet our short piece above. His valuable comments follow:

I don’t think you can say that Muhammad had no opposition, etc.. The whole thrust of his revelation is that it overturns the corrupted teaching of the Jews. It was the local Jewish community that brought to his attention the Jewish tradition —which at first he tried to co-opt by claiming that his message clearly fulfilled it, but then, having been, as Muslims recall “mocked” by the Jews, he proceeded to dismantle the Jewish teaching, keeping all of its key concepts, declaring everything from about Genesis 12 onward as fabrication. He did not intend that his teaching should be received as a free-floating new insight into everything but as the hidden truth – Islam — that had always been behind all Jewish and Christian scripture. Muslims are obliged to believe that the continuation of Judaism and Christianity amounts to a perverse defiance of Allah’s message, contained in the Qur’an. This explains the unforgiving malice of Muhammad and all his followers towards our faith and our civilization.

Otherwise, I am in full agreement with your analysis. I believe it would be madness to imagine that we have a dog in the race that is going on in Syria, Iraq, Jordan and beyond. Obama’s newly-announced policy of searching for democratic elements and assisting them is utter madness. .No one of the parties – Shia, Sunni, Kurds should be assisted by us. We must hope that the interfering outsiders – Iran, Saudi Arabia, and the other Middle East sheikhdoms – will checkmate each other – to our benefit. , Our entire policy should be to contain these demonic energies so that they waste themselves within the borders of Syria and Iraq.

The Geopolitics of Ramadan

We republish this essay from Stratfor because it informs about the Muslim psych and the eternal and terminal battle they wage against Kafirs or Infidels (that’s you by the way).

Summary

Ramadan for most people is a religious occasion when Muslims around the world fast from dawn until dusk. During this lunar month, the faithful also try to pray as much as possible and seek to maximize the practice of good deeds. However, Ramadan has a much less talked about geopolitical dimension.

Progression of Islamic Expansionism

We reprint the following list that we found on the Think-Israel website. Since references to the information it captures has come up in several conversations, we’re glad to capture it here.

Progression of Islamic Expansionism
Extracted from Dr. Peter Hammond’s book, Slavery, Terrorism and Islam: The Historical Roots and Contemporary Threat.

Islamization begins when there are sufficient Muslims in a country to agitate for their religious privileges. When politically correct, tolerant, and culturally diverse societies agree to Muslim demands for their religious privileges, some of the other components tend to creep in as well. Here’s how it works:
