After a hiatus we post a new essay by Paul Merkley.. We present this essay reprinted by permission of Paul and from The Bayview Review. See the links at the end for direct access to the rest of Paul’s work.

We have seen the Pope’s plan for bringing a happy ending to the “migrant crisis” and we have seen Chancellor Merkel’s – both the original and the revised versions. (“The Muslim Swarm: Part One: Storming Europe’s External and Internal Frontiers,” www.thebayviewreview, September 18, 2015.) Less noticed has been an even more thorough-going  plan proposed by the leader that the Muslim world generally looks up to as the best proof that Allah favors those who honor him openly — the wealthiest and most powerful man amongst them. He, King Salman of Saudi Arabia, will surely know what to do for these poor people. And indeed he does: he wishes them all Godspeed on their way to Europe.

“It is not right for us to accept a people that are different from us

For decades now our self-loathing academic and opinion elites have been  feeding us the malarkey that Islam is a Religion of Compassion, under which all are brothers, a faith that takes no note of colour, race or social standing. It is clear that the King of Saudi Arabia thinks differently. In his  view despatching all these hundreds of thousands of Syrians, Iraqis, Afghanis and other lesser breeds into Europe is best all round as there are (he tells us) insuperable cultural obstacles standing against their incorporation into the world that he knows and loves, and largely owns. And so it makes sense that Europe should have the pleasure.

(At the site one can find one researcher’s effort to clear the King of the general indictment of refusal to give aid and comfort to refugees. The argument turns on the fact that the Kingdom and the other sheikhdoms refuse to subscribe to UN programmes in the matter of refugees and related matters and so actual actions by Saudi Arabia on behalf of refugees have just not been recorded by the UN or by the world’s media. In my view, the argument is unconvincing, but the reader may judge for  himself.)

The Saudi King’s air-tight anti-refugee policy has been  endorsed by all the members of the Gulf Cooperation Council – Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman the UAE., Kuwait, Bahrain. One Kuwaiti official, Fahad al-Shalami.Kuwait, clearly annoyed at being pestered by these peasants, expresses the consensus of the Gulf sheikdoms on the matter:

Kuwait and the other Gulf Cooperation Council countries are too valuable to accept any refugees….It’s too It’s too costly to relocate them here. Kuwait is too expensive for them anyway… It is not right for us to accept a people that are different from us. We don’t want people that suffer from internal stress and trauma in our country. (Denis MacEnin, “The Arab States and the Refugees,”, September 16, 2015.)

One churlish, independent blogger, Paul Joseph Watson, has brought to our attention the fact that Saudi Arabia has, sitting empty all year except for the few days of the Hajj, 100,000 air conditioned tents that could house three million refugees. (, September 10, 2015. )

The Arab world is concentrating heroically on a strategy of not noticing the great emigration of its people from their homelands. “We are deliberately ignoring the issue as a strategic maneuver,” says an official from the Saudi government. “If these refugees go and settle in the West then they will take with them the beacon of light that is Islam.” (“Saudi: Migrants Will Spread ‘Beacon Of Islam’ In West,”, September 8, 2015; Jack Engelhard, “Syrian Refugees, How Lucky They Aren’t Jews,” Arutz Sheva, September 8, 2015.)

The Beacon of Light That is Islam. ”

But, mark you, the King of Saudi does not send off Arabia’s sons without gifts. In lieu of actually giving homes to Arab asylum seekers, he sends them the best gift of all: a promise to help Germany cope by building at least one mosque for every 100 Middle Eastern refugees who enter Germany.

This is no idle boast. In fact, in could be easily realized. It is merely a continuation of a policy already well advanced for sustaining  the religious life not only of today’s Muslims in Europe and America but also of the rest of us, the Muslims-to-be-of-the-near-future.

How perfectly the Muslim swarming of Europe fits into the great missionary plan that the King of Saudi Arabia has for all of us! It follows immediately from the Prophet’s command:

I command by Allah to go and fight all the people of the world until they confess there is no god but Allah, and I am his messenger, and to pray five times a day and to give alms. And if they do that, their blood will be spared from me. [A hadith recorded by Al-Bukhari, cited in Mark A. Gabriel, Islam and Terrorism (Lake Mary Florida: Charisma House, 2002), p. 78.]

While the imams regularly scold their hearers for lack of dedication to this task they do not hesitate to declare confidence in the inevitability of Islam’s universal triumph. Muslims are constantly urged to keep faith – to keep alert for the signs that prove the inevitability of the collapse of the non-Muslim world and the triumph, in its ashes, of the Muslim world.

Sheikh Abd Al-Rahman, Imam of the Grand Mosque in Mecca, by appointment of the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, sums up the History of the World since Islam came into it:

The most noble civilization every known to mankind is our Islamic civilization. Today, Western Civilization is nothing more than the product of its encounter with our Islamic civilization in Andalusia [Medieval Spain and Portugal.] The reason for Western Civilization’s bankruptcy is its reliance on the materialistic approach and its detachment from religion and values. . . . Only one nation is capable of resuscitating global civilization, and that is the nation of Islam. While the false cultures sink in the swamp of materialism and suffer moral crises . . . our Islamic nation is the one worthy of grasping the reins of leadership and riding on the back of the horse of pioneering and world sovereignty (February, 2002.) [Quoted in Steven Stalinsky, “Kingdom Comes to North America,” National Review Online, May 13, 2004.]

The significance of this for non-Muslims is clear enough. In the words of the Muslim theologian whose words inspire the genocidal ambitions of the Government of Sudan today,

Islam can no longer be denied!  It is the only force that motivates young people in the developing world. . . . You in the West must understand that. You must not fear it.  You had better get used to it.” [Hassan Turabi, Sudan, 1991, quoted in Judith Miller, God Has Ninety-Nine Names (New York: Simon & Schuster, 1996), 159.]

Closer to home than Khartoum or Mecca, we have many resident Muslims who are ready to explain these matters to us. Omar Ahmed, Chairman of the Committee for American Islamic Relations (CAIR), says: “Islam isn’t in America to be equal with any other faith, but to become dominant. The Koran should be the highest authority in America, and Islam the only accepted religion on earth” (July 17 1998. Quoted in Daniel Pipes & Sharon Chadhia, “CAIR founded by Islamic Terrorists?” July 28, 2005.)

The Missionary Zeal of King Salman.

Muhammad taught that every believer should expect to be consigned to hell if he ever gives up on the purpose for which Allah has brought each of us into life: to bring the entire world into submission – into Islam.  Every King of the line of Saud has worked energetically to avoid that unspeakable outcome to his life.

All reliable authorities on the state of health of Muslim communities in our part of the world are agreed that zeal for Islam and personal identification with Muslim goals and values has been growing at a geometric rate in our midst. A large factor in this matter has been the role played by the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi  Arabia, which, assisted by the potentates of other wealthy Arabic Kingdoms of the Arab peninsula, has funded the development of worship centers and educational facilities through America, Canada and Europe. We are told that Saudi Arabia pays the mortgages and subsidizes the imams of 80% of mosques in the U.S.A. today.

The version of Islam which is promoted by the Saudis is a particularly aggressive proselytizing doctrine called “Wahhabism.” Textbooks in use in the Islamic schools sponsored by Saudi Arabia teach their students that any form of worship that does not conform to Islam is not valid. Their textbooks exhort students to “hate them [Christians] for their religion,” to “hate for Allah’s sake,” to “always oppose them in every way.” They teach that all religions except Islam are false, and that it is their sacred work to bring every country in the world under Muslim government. “They must invade [the] western heartland [of Christendom] and struggle to overcome it until all the world shouts by the name of the Prophet and the teachings of Islam spread throughout the world. Only then will Muslims achieve their fundamental goal. . . .  All religion will be exclusively for Allah.” [As quoted in Steven Stalinsky, “Kingdom Comes to North America,” National Review Online, May 13, 2004.loc. cit.]
