Commentary: Is the MSM biased against Trump? Answer: News Coverage of Donald Trump’s First 100 Days. Could this be a contributing factor: Journalists Drink Too Much, Are Dumber Than Average, Study Finds? And finally, that source used by most MSM journalists for ground-breaking stories on Trump’s treason and corruption has been unmasked: And The Winner Of The 2017 Pulitzer Prize For Journalism Goes To….

Bits and Pieces – 20170224, Friday

Commentary: I had come to the point of thinking that writing and presenting factual material had little value other than to myself – which is why I continue to do so. In conversations with people I had noticed that when presented with facts contrary to their position they seemed to back off but fail to change their position. Here’s support for that observation: Why Facts Don’t Change Our Minds. To note: “Once formed, impressions are remarkably perseverant.” This points to our early life as the formative stage for many of our narratives about the world. It also shows the danger the school system poses when it strays beyond the 3 Rs.

The writer notes “People believe that they know way more than they actually do. What allows us to persist in this belief is other people.” This is due to the sociability nature of our species. The application of this principle to current events (Trump) is enlightening since”as a rule, strong feelings about issues do not emerge from deep understanding,” but from what we hear from friends and read in the MSM, particularly if it reinforces what we already believe we know (confirmation bias).

Commentary: I am still confounded by the phenomenon of Trump hatred in Canada. First of all, he is not our president, and who or what he is and what he does is really none of our business beyond what impact his policies might have on Canada. When confronted on their hatred, people shuffle their feet and mumble a few multi-syllabic words that they have learned from the CBC. I have referred to the psychic energy that they have stored up, without understanding its source. Today a piece slipped into place.  But a little sideways trip first.

What We’re Reading Today

Commentary: The Trump tsunami has passed. Now it’s the cleanup phase, and I expect the MSM to discover that planet earth is larger than the US and other things are continuing on. Our attention will probably diversify.

Trump team: Building bridges within the Republican party: Romney Meets Trump This Weekend, Will Discuss SecState Role In New Administration? And one bridge that doesn’t appear likely: Newt Gingrich Confirms “I Will Not Be In Donald Trump’s Cabinet”.

Main Stream Media (MSM): Two articles on ongoing MSM bias: Zero Hedge Targeted On Liberal Professor’s List of “Fake News” Sources and Mike Krieger Rages At The ‘Fake News’ Debacle: “It’s An All Out Media War”. Are we seeing the impact of the biased reporting during the election: Huffington Post Owner AOL Lays Off 5% Of Staff: 500 Workers Lose Their Jobs?

Civil Unrest: This topic has become the current dominant one. Martin Armstrong’s model has a peak for unrest in 2021. We shall see. But disturbing trends are emerging, particularly the acquiescence of the liberal left to the social disorder and violence: Have the Democrats Unleashed a New Age Communist Revolution?.

Bits and Pieces: In the Democratic camp, Bernie Sanders Shuns Democrats: “I Will Finish This Term As An Independent”. The youth vote may follow Sanders wherever he decides to go. This is not good for the Democrats, just as the Trump vote was not good for the old Republicans unless Trump creates a new Republican party with his followers.

A recent discussion with friends involved the idea of repatriating jobs to America. Apple may be considering it: Trump Wins? Foxconn Looks To Make iPhones In America. This process actually eliminates jobs (not American) because companies that build new plants invest much more heavily in automation creating a net loss of jobs associated with the product. This has been going on for a couple of years.

The UN has just come out with a disturbing report backing this jobless reshoring: Two-Thirds Of Workers In Developing Nations To Be Replaced by Robots, Report Warns.

There has been ongoing chatter for the last couple of years about a cashless society. It is moving forward by taking larger bills out of circulation on the pretext of fighting money laundering and illegal activities of all sorts. Pity the poor girl guide wanting to sell you cookies: Sweden Begins Planning Transition From Cash To Digital Currency.

What We’re Reading Today

Commentary: News-wise it’s quiet prior to election results. We are preparing to make a bold prediction tomorrow as to whom shall be the next US president. The topic today with the most articles we found concerns MSM bias. The wide-spread reporting of numerous cases of bias has probably permanently damaged their position in the eyes of many. Whether it has any effect on their bottom line will be something to watch for over the next quarter when earnings are reported.

What We’re Reading Today

Commentary: We think we can create an earliest scenario for the hot or kinetic phase of WWIII. Obama’s last day as president is Jan. 20,2017. Between now and then, everything he does will be based on how it affects his legacy. Starting WWIII is not a good legacy If a group within the military or intelligence community want to start earlier, they will have to stage a significant false flag event. The election has been prepped for this but we don’t think whatever is the outcome will provide sufficient justification, particularly in light of widespread pre-election scrutiny.

We think that if Trump is elected, he will at least try and talk with Putin and possibly deescalate the standoff in Eastern Europe between the AE and NATO and Russia. Hillary (can’t we just drone the guy) Clinton on the other hand is a much more hard-lined in favour of armed conflict (Hillary Clinton supported all of America’s imperial wars: Writer) and in opposing Russia. Under Clinton we see a very real chance of a kinetic war with Russia, especially given the continued buildup of NATO forces on Russia’s borders, something the US would never tolerate (remember the Cuban Missile Crisis?).

We think, however, that Hillary will need at least a couple of months in office to to staff key positions, restructure any institutions necessary, purge any military officers and intelligence officials left that Obama has not already purged (an out-of-date list is: List Of Military Elite Purged And Fired Under Obama, Compiled By General Paul Vallely, 3-17-14.) and prepare the American public for war. So late spring at the earliest.

Traditionally, the Federal Reserve does everything in its power to not rock the boat leading into an election. Consequently, markets are in an artificial state. Expect to see some major market swings as markets adjust and the Fed begins to make truthful (as much as it ever can) assessments of the economy. The key thing to watch going forward is whether they will raise the Fed Funds Rate 25 basis points as they have been trying to do for months. The global economy is slowing and many US economic indicators are pointing downwards. If they don’t, in their desperation make the rate increase in Dec. it is difficult to see when they will be able to. Keep in mind that raising rates has been their traditional way of cooling an overheated economy which is not the case now. In other words they stand the risk of inducing a recession more quickly than the business cycle would do.

Otherwise there’s not much news to report.

What We’re Reading Today

Clinton Corruption: The FBI is busy with Clinton associates: 5 Separate FBI Cases Are Probing Virtually Every One Of Hillary’s Inner-Circle. Inquiring minds might ask why stop here? This story has been out for a couple of days or so but I don’t think I reported it: FBI Release FOIA On Clinton’s Pardon of Marc Rich for Money. Elsewhere I had read that the documents were heavily redacted. But in the context of this short comment from martin Armstrong, Deliberate Leaks are being Strategically Made to Stop Clinton Inc, we may be seeing the start of much more information on Clinton corruption. It is probably coming too late to influence the election but if Hillary wins, may be available for her impeachment.

Electoral Fraud: New for today: Pennsylvania Police Raid Democrat “Advocacy Group” Office Over Alleged Voter Fraud.

Main Stream Media (MSM) bias: Continuing our coverage of MSM bias towards Clinton and against Trump: New Podesta Email Reveals More Clinton Campaign Collusion With CNN. Just in: Wikileaks Exposes Collusion Between Clinton Campaign, State Department, And New York Times.
