Before I got my blog up I was sending these little pieces by email. The intent was to share music with people from which it has been taken by the state. I’m thinking of re-posting them with possible editing or additions. I’ll directly embed the videos also. The first is the hymn ‘In Christ Alone’.

I first encountered virtual choirs with Eric Whitacre’s music (I’ll cover in some later post). The following piece by David Wesley was posted in 2013 so this technique of assembling a single track from multiple tracks has been around for a while:

My wife put me on to an a cappella male ensemble from Brigham Young University called Vocal Point. BYU is big on production across all their choirs and ensembles:


The POOG

I started a blog in 2011 called The POOG, an acronym for "pissed off old guy". This is the current incarnation.
