You may have noticed that I have never reported on riots in Portland or any other city. The reason is that I consider it all socio-political noise. What I am looking for is the signal. Who is paying for this stuff and what is their agenda.

I don’t report on American politics for much the same reason. I don’t hate Trump but I don’t love the guy either. He’s not my head of state. I realize that many if not most Canadians are incapable of other than binary thinking – black and white. I see the world in shades of grey. Canadian politics is a little different. As a Canadian, I have a vested interest in it.

Getting back to the point, there is an awful lot of stuff going on at higher levels and behind the scenes than what the MSM reports on. Which speaks to the next video. Paul Cotrell and Stefan Molyneux are two really smart guys that have figured out a bit of what’s going on behind the curtain. You may not agree with everything they say but they cover the territory.

Because they’re so wide ranging, I couldn’t find a place on the rest of this site to put them in. It has to be a blog article. It’s long at 1:34:39 minutes but I had to watch it until the end. There is some good stuff starting around the 30 minute mark.

***

I place a break in all my posts because I always include some music but keep it separate in case you don’t like my choices. My tastes include a strong Christian bias for which I make no apology. When you reach the ‘***’, simply close the page.

In my last post I alluded to pent-up music. Some of my favourite artists have new material out and here it is. First is Michael Eldrige:

My favourite youth group, Fountainview Academy has a new performance out:

Finally, David Wesley has a new virtual choir out. He has moved away from from pure a cappella to instrumental accompaniment because the production is easier. His goal is to produce two more before Christmas. I’ll be trying out for the next one.

The POOG

I started a blog in 2011 called The POOG, an acronym for "pissed off old guy". This is the current incarnation.
