If you haven’t checked out the mask article under COVID-19 lately I’ve added material. Right now I’m working with the final report from the Task Force for a Resilient Recovery which seems to be driving Canadian government policy. I’ll have that by the weekend.

I have some new music to share. A classic of the modern choral repertoire is the a cappella setting of Morten Lauridsen’s ‘O Magnum Mysterium’. Here it is by VOCES8:

However, I came across this instrumental arrangement by Lauridsen that he wrote for the violinist, Anne Akiko Meyers. Here it is played by Anne and pianist & Akira Eguchi.

Finally, I came across this group ‘Narrow Way’ singing ‘Nearer, Still Nearer’. Their lovely intimate sonic texture struck me and I want to share it:
