The MSM are making and promoting two errors about US election results. That they are intentional would be consistent with their suppression of any news that would speak ill of the Biden crime family. On the other hand, “journalists” nowadays are not known for their intelligence and critical thinking abilities.
The first error is made by City News of Toronto Ontario featuring Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. The ordinary Canadian may be forgiven for not catching it because even many Americans are not familiar with the aspect of their Republic vested in the Electoral College. The error occurs in the first 5 seconds. See if you can spot it:
Trudeau may be trying to hedge his bets, a risky business because he has only your standard of living to cover them. On the other hand, he may simply be woefully ignorant of an aspect of foreign policy, something which is not particularly new for him.
The error is in his use of the terms ‘president elect’ and ‘vice-president elect’. The presidency is determined by and only by a vote of the electoral college which will be held December 14 this year. Until then you may correctly refer to Biden as ‘candidate’ Biden.
The General Services Administration (GSA), the executive agency of the U.S. federal government that manages equipment and property, will only initiate the transition when a “clear winner is clear, based on the process laid out in the Constitution.” (read: GSA Responds to Biden Campaign: ‘Ascertainment Has Not yet Been Made’ on Power Transfer). That of course is the vote of the Electoral College.
The second error that is madre is to declare Biden winner of the popular vote. In some states it is not clear that all counting is finished. There are many investigations and legal suits in progress for recounts. The issue may eventually end up in the Supreme Court. Until this is all settled which may take weeks to months, we will not know the final count and cannot declare the winner until that point is reached.
You may wish to argue against these points but they are hard facts.
As usual, I have some music for you. The first is a new piece by Fountainview Academy. It has a Scottish flavour.:
The next is ‘The Lake Isle ft. Tenebrae’ by Norwegian composer Ola Gjeilo. It is unusual because it has a guitar as a prominent instrument, quite a wonderful touch!
