Life got simpler and more difficult this morning. Last night my system updated with a couple of dozen browser tabs containing critical papers and articles. Normally after restart, I open my browser and click on “restore previous session” which does so. It must be done before the browser is closed again or the session is lost. This morning, before restoring the session my virus checker ask for a restart and I pressed “enter” – and then started screaming “No! No! No!”. Some of that lost material i will never recover.
I’m changing the Title format to include brief descriptors of the content. This may make the posts a bit more informative.

CIA Dirty Tricks
It turns out that when the CIA is not overthrowing foreign governments or assassinating their leaders they have other wonderful ways to amuse themselves like torturing children. Although I have followed the CIA for years, I haven’t reported much other than what you find in The American Empire. One reason is that there is already a very large literature describing this aberrant organization and its black ops. CDC Dirty Tricks
Being a government organization they have lots. However, I want to address one in particular that ICAN brought to my attention. They published a paper by staff members, Bozio et al.[1], that found (key point emphasized):
Among COVID-19–like illness hospitalizations among adults aged ≥18 years whose previous infection or vaccination occurred 90–179 days earlier, the adjusted odds of laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 among unvaccinated adults with previous SARS-CoV-2 infection were 5.49-fold higher than the odds among fully vaccinated recipients of an mRNA COVID-19 vaccine who had no previous documented infection (95% confidence interval = 2.75–10.99).

The key point is the claim that unvaccinated people previously infected – hence with natural immunity – are 5.5 times more likely to contract the disease again than a vaccinated person. Current data with Omicron is actually finding that the reverse is probably more accurate.
A critical response to the paper was submitted to the CDC by ICAN’s lawyers, SIRI / Glimstad[2]. They document how the CDC study was designed to produce fallacious results favourable to the pharmaceutical industry. In doing so they draw on many peer-reviewed papers that come to a conclusion opposite that of the CDC.
Papers submitted to respected journals often publish comments from readers on the paper’s methodology or conclusions. If egregious, the journal will ask for – and enforce – a retraction. In the case of this CDC paper, it is published in an internal news letter. As such, it is not peer-reviewed and the CDC does not have to publish any critical commentary or request a retraction. ICAN is attempting to do this by legal representation and retains the option to sue the CDC to force a retraction.
This is not the first time that poor quality papers have been used by authorities to support a position, long after the papers had been retracted An example that comes to mind is a study published in the highly regarded journal, the Lancet, that purported to show that hydroxychloroquine was ineffective against COVID-19 It was badly flawed and retracted[3].

Home Test Kits. Yesterday in News of the Day: December 30, 2021 I reported that the home test kits contained “hazardous chemicals”. Today Martin Armstrong adds more information: Deadly Ingredient In Abbott BinaxNOW COVID-19 Home Test Kit. The substance in question is sodium azide which can be lethal: Death following accidental sodium azide ingestion. What if you kid or your kitty got into it when you weren’t looking which becomes a probable scenario when 500 million kits are dispersed to the public.
Food Shortages. There is a global supply deficit of fertilizers, a topic that I follow but have not covered. This in turn is creating food shortages (News of the Day: December 30, 2021) by forcing farmers not to plant or to plant under conditions guaranteeing lower yields.
