If you were a DOS user of the 1980&#8217;s you use to a command line interface (pre-Windows) you may be surprised that the latest Windows still has DOS in its core.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Right-click on the Start menu under the 4-pane window icon. Find the &#8220;Run&#8221; option and left-click. Enter the string &#8220;cmd&#8221;, short for command. You are now at a command line prompt. Enter &#8220;ipconfig\/all&#8221;. Under &#8220;Ethernet adapter Ethernet:&#8221;. Find the line &#8220;Physical Address. . . . . . . . . : XX- XX &#8211; XX &#8211; XX &#8211; XX &#8211; XX &#8221; where &#8220;XX&#8221; may be any combination of numeric or upper-case alphabetic characters.
