As a Marine Corp. major (ret.), he has several years experience with the US/Russia nuclear weapons ban treaties, having spend time in Russia performing inspections. More recently has made visits to Russia , updating his knowledge of the modern Russian society and economy. As such, he is a good source of information on current Eastern European events but also American politics. Like most of my sources he is in demand and widely followed.
