One person who is a ‘must watch’ for me is former British diplomat, Alastair Crooke. He is retired and living in Italy but is widely followed globally. Judge Napolitano interviews him every Monday morning. Below is today’s video (34:42 minutes). In it he gives the background of the current tensions in the Mid East.
One particularly interesting story was that he has a friend who lives in the same building in which Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh lived (read By The Shorts: I Bet on the Wrong Pony). The friend had been talking with Ismail in the hours before the assassination. The friend saw the apartment and said that the damage was clearly caused from a missile penetrating the room from the outside and not a bomb planted by unnamed agents as the Mossad has said (Planted bomb, remote control and AI: How the Mossad killed Hamas’ leader in Iran).
Alastair is deeply informed and connected. He speaks succinctly and his interviews are always current and hilly informative. The interview left me with a realization that we are weeks if not days away from a wider war in the Mid East.
