Unlike for the first two parts of this series, I have no sources of academic study – although such may exist – or professional people like doctors on which to draw from. The problem with psychics and mediums is that they seem to be found under every leaf. The quality and authenticity of their information is hard to assess and frequently is false or unverifiable.

There are undoubtedly many “good” psychic, but I refer to the work of only one, that of Edgar Cayce. His work has been in the public domain for almost a century and is highly regarded as accurate. One theme in his more than 14,000 available readings is that of life after death leading to the notion of past lives or reincarnation which permeates his work.

I am not aware of specific readings on reincarnation but there are a few videos made by people who have studied his readings and constructed coherent story lines on the topic. As an example, here is one such video (43:21 minutes).

Here is a more succinct summary of what Cayce said about reincarnation and its purpose (21:33 minutes). It speaks to the problem of pain and suffering.

Below is one more video (1:14:05 minutes).

You Chose The Circumstances of Your Incarnation

This is perhaps the most challenging aspect of understanding reincarnation. You chose all aspects of your incarnation. Edgar Cayce explains (video 37:54 minutes).

Late Note

As I was finishing up this article today, the YouTube algos gave me the following video (37:46 minutes). In it, NDE survivor, Jonathan Ashford, shares his understanding of reality including reincarnation. His understanding reflects Jung, Watts, Cayce and others that are presented in my writings.

The video reflects a more advanced state of one’s consciousness during spiritual awakening.

The POOG

I started a blog in 2011 called The POOG, an acronym for "pissed off old guy". This is the current incarnation.
