When I started sending out music links in emails it was to bring music to those from whom it has been taken by the state – namely churchgoers and choir members. Most of it has been a cappela singing which I have a passion for.
Over time, I have become aware of new musical styles and sub-genres as well as new performers and ensembles. This time I want to share a video of an amazing, award winning young woman, a finger-style guitarist, Christie Lenée.
Her fretwork up the neck of the guitar is amazing. But what I really enjoy is the expressions on her face. There is joy, intensity, and that “oh yeh – it’s working” smile. Here she is playing her own composition:
