Although I had read this work some time ago I had not given it attention. My studies were focused on existential questions, particularly the question of where I was from the moment of my creation by God until I entered this incarnation. I came to see that the bible is focused on the big questions and our relation ship with God but very little about who and what we are.

More recently, I began internal introspection on this point guided by prayer and meditation. There is not much material available within the strict confines of the biblical paradigm of Jesus Christ’s role and achievement – the salvation of mankind. Then I came across the video below on the Gospel of Mary. It has three parts . The first is an introductory to Mary Magdalene according to the scriptures. The second is a narration of the existing parts of her Gospel. The third is commentary on the text. It is a very powerful instruction (1:07:33 minutes).

In the video are mentioned the seven deadly sins

  • pride
  • lust
  • envy
  • anger
  • covetedness
  • gluttony
  • sloth

and the seven virtues:

  • humility
  • charity
  • chastity
  • gratitude
  • temperance
  • patience
  • diligence

The POOG

I started a blog in 2011 called The POOG, an acronym for "pissed off old guy". This is the current incarnation.
