Many may think that a description of the cosmology begins with the Monad. However, there appears to be something primal before the Monad that gave birth to it. The following video references no specific Gnostic texts but its narrator has put together a prologue, so to speak, for the story of the cosmology. Here is that video (30:55 minutes).
