This is a short book1 (15 pages) by the owner of the YouTube channel, the Gnostic Eye. It is a brief introduction to the Gnostic metaphysics, particularly those texts found in the Nag Hammadi Library.
The author gives x steps that the beginner should learn to adopt. These apply to all areas of metaphysics and spiritual advancement.
- Create Space for Silence. This is more than just physical space, it is room in all aspects of your life.
- Question Everything. That is everything that you accept from others and everything that you believe to be true.
- Turn Attention Inward. All true metaphysical and spiritual searching is done inwardly. Books and courses should only be guides to one’s inner search.
- Detach from the Cycle of Consumption. While we remain in the world, we must gradually reduce all our attachments to it which keep us locked down.
- Choose What Nourishes the Soul. This is not just food but all that we take into our mind and body including personal relationships.
- Remember You Are More…. than just a physical body and mind that will die and decay. You are an immortal essence of the Divine, something that you will spend the rest of your life exploring.
These six steps are very broad. Nibble away at them slowly so that you grow into them. Trying to do too much simply results in failure.
