The book by Strauss & Howe – ‘The Fourth Turning’, has proven to be good guide to our present condition. We are mid to late in a fourth turning. An author, Jim Quinn of The Burning Platform blog has written several articles on the idea of historical cycles. His latest captures the current dynamic in play in the US: FOURTH TURNING ELECTION YEAR CRISIS. It’s a longer read, aybe 20 minutes or so, but I think he covers all the issues and all the players. As such, I recommend it.
I have no new major articles, just additions to several across the site. Mostly minor points, I don’t keep track of them.

The second is the earlier release of Eric Whitacre’s virtual choir #4, ‘Fly to Paradise’. Considering the number of singers – 5,905 – it is an animation feat as well as a technical marvel of mixing all those voices.
