The Canadian Covid Care Alliance has produced a video below (38:57 minutes) on the Pfizer vaccine phase III study and subsequent Pfizer submissions, which discusses some of its many inadequacies. We present it below followed by a commentary on points that struck us as notable. A PDF version of the report may be found here.
Commentary
The video begins at 1:20 minutes with a discussion of the various degrees of quality of scientific evidence in practice. As the video notes, the highest quality is the randomized double blind placebo study[1]. Briefly, carefully constructed target and control groups are given either the target product or a placebo. Neither the experiment operators nor the participants know which group they are in or whether they received the target product or a placebo.
At 1:55, the video begins discussing the early results from Pfizer’s phase III trial[2] in which Pfizer claims a 95% efficacy rate for disease prevention emphasis added).
A total of 43,548 participants underwent randomization, of whom 43,448 received injections: 21,720 with BNT162b2 and 21,728 with placebo. There were 8 cases of Covid-19 with onset at least 7 days after the second dose among participants assigned to receive BNT162b2 and 162 cases among those assigned to placebo; BNT162b2 was 95% effective in preventing Covid-19 (95% credible interval, 90.3 to 97.6).

The False Efficacy Claim
The video has one explanation of why this claim is false. I’ll offer my own reasoned explanation similar to theirs. The number that you are interested in is actually the risk of not catching COVID-19. Using their numbers in emphasis above, your risk in the vaccine group would have been 8/21720 or 0.037%. That represents the 8 vaccinated people who caught COVID-19. That is an efficacy of 99.96% – a no-brainer. This is your absolute risk reduction.
But consider the placebo group. At 162/21728 the efficacy of the placebo or absolute risk reduction is 99.25%. I’ll remain unvaccinated thanks given the risk of vaccines. Incidentally, Pfizer got their efficacy by comparing the number of vaccinated cases tom placebo cases: (162 – 8)/162 = 95% – a relatively meaningless number.
As a critical thinker you have probably observed that the number is meaningless because the experiment is fundamentally flawed for producing the number. The experiment that we want is that of 100 people exposed to identical viral loads of the SARS-CpV-2 virus so that we can determine how many in the group contract COVID-19. That’s your likelihood of getting COVID if you are vaccinated – or not.
No Phase III Study
Beginning around 3:50, the video provides the detail supporting my long-standing claim that Pfizer abrogated their Phase III study when they effectively destroyed the placebo group and the double blind provision. That the FDA in the US and Health authorities worldwide authorized use of an experimental product without any longitudinal study (long-term safety) is a travesty of modern medicine for which millions are now paying the price, many with their lives.
Hidden Adverse Effects and Other Issues
Around the 5;30 mark the video describes how the data on serious adverse effects and deaths is buried in supplemental material.
The normal timeline for vaccine development is presented around 9:10, along with the abridged timeline used by the mRNA vaccine developers. Issues with the trial design are discussed beginning at 10:05 to 16:50 where they Switch to discussing inadequacies in testing and follow-up.
Adverse event reporting is also discussed. At 28:10. it is explained how Health Canada has one of the most restrictive systems in the world. One might suspect its design was structured to produce results that would minimize vaccine hesitancy, a primary political objective in Canada.
Vaccinating Adolescents
The video switches to a discussion of the inordinate risk to benefit ratio of vaccinating adolescents at the 19:50 marker.
Concluding Remarks
The final 7 or 8 minutes review conflicts of interests among individuals supporting the vaccines as well as media and political interference in public concern of vaccine safety inquiry.
It is difficult not to come away from this video without feeling that there has been and continues to be a massive corruption of politicians and the media in covering up what is likely to become the greatest medical disaster in history.
